In an interview with 1 Xtra’s Trevor Nelsen in London,Nicki Minaj talks about the enormous pressure she’s had to face since being in the limelight
“That’s what people don’t understand… They don’t understand what it’s like to have that much pressure,” Nicki says. “I’m a new artist and I’m already on the bottom of the totem pole because I’m a female.rapper. We barely even have our own category at awards shows. Then I get to go and produce something knowing people are waiting to critique it. And they are comparing my album to people that have been out forever. Kanye’s 4 or 5 albums deep which is interesting because the sales in the states are neck and neck.”
