Kanye West was a guest on the Today Show earlier this week with Matt Lauer to discuss the comments he made towards George Bush in 2005 and why he now empathizes with him. After the interview, Kanye posted angry tweets to his twitter account that Matt Lauer tried to force his answers in the interview by running audio of the MTV incident while he was talking.
After watching the interview I don’t get why Kanye was so angry. He made a big to do about nothing.
The horrible car accident Kanye was involved in from years ago and the death of his mother would lead one to think that this man needs some serious counseling. Do you agree?
Last night, Kanye Westwith tight lips vented on his twitter about a taped interview with Matt Lauer of the Today Show.
According to Kanye, he had went on the show to apologize for his Bush comments (“George Bush does not care about black people,” ) but he felt as though the interviewer tried to force his answers. He is now claiming that he won’t be doing any more interviews or talking to the press: …Let me tell you how they did me at the Today show…
I went up there to express how I was empathetic to Bush because I labeled him a racist and years later I got labeled as a racist…. While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the “MTV” under me with audio!!!!!!!
I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT.

Yo I really wonder if Matt Lauer thought that shit was cool to play the “MTV” clip while I was speaking about Bush? Maybe Mike could have explained how the media tried to set him up!!! It’s all a f*cking set up!!!! . On Friday while on a Delta flight from Minneapolis to New York City, a witness told Hollywood Life that Kanye West was sitting in first class and then, about 30 minutes into the flight, gave an impromptu miniconcert over the plane’s loudspeaker, rapping a few lines apiece of ”The Good Life” and “Gold Digger.”
Kanye admits to DJ Funkmaster the leaked nude pics are real and explains that he “only raps reality.”

“I went to the Internet because I’m looking at my Twitter and go to mentions to see what people are talking about and they had like, the link, and I went to it,” West recalls. “You can not imagine how disappointed I was how I got cut off? [laughs] I’m like, d*mn. I was like, ‘Ahhh!’ I’m not talking to anybody [in this room], I’m talking to the radio right now. Was there any ladies commenting? My e-mail did go kinda crazy though. I was getting all types of random e-mails out the blue. A lot of e-mails, a lot of inboxes. This is terrible
Producer/Rapper Kanye West confirmed his breakup with the model in August and premiered his “Runaway” film over the weekend which many speculated was based largely on his relationship with Amber Rose.
The socialite caught wind of the comparisons between herself and model Selita Ebanks who portrayed a Phoenix in the film, and decided to defend herself.
Above, taking to her Twitter page, Rose says that she’ll tell her side of the story in a self produced television show.
Kanye West’s short film for ‘Runaway (Ft. Pusha T)’ is set to debut this evening at 8pm EST. The 40 minute visual, which is narrated by none other than Young Money Princess Nicki Minaj.
Kanye West is gearing up for his new album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” which will be in stores November 22. He sat down with Access Hollywood to discuss whether his songs are directed towards anyone in particular.
Kanye on soul searching
Yeah definitely, soul searching. It’s difficult…could you imagine waking up one day, today 2010 where Barack Obama is president and literally there’s millions of tweets that say, “Die n*gga, Die!”? Could you imagine?
Something that wasn’t racially charged at all, it was more…okay this is right and this is wrong. To be thrown in the box of being a racist. Where literally, it would be white girls that say “Hey, I thought you didn’t like us!” Like I hate all white people now. The way the media tries to create the enemy wrestler, the Russian wrestler. They create these characters and you’re not even like a real person or have any dynamics..basically an enemy.
It’s really stupid and harsh but the only thing about the media and that….I have the internet and I have my music and my voice is going to be louder and I’m going to WIN. I’m going to prevail and the right is gong to prevail. For the honesty, the truth, the creativity, and the person I am…a good person with good intentions with everything I do. If you look at it, it’s still good intentions maybe bad timing but regardless good intentions and it’s going to prevail.
Are songs directed to certain people and events on the “Runway” album?
It’s very direct and very extremely emotional. The “Runaway” piece at the end, it’s like my voice is being changed into a guitar. When I did that I was tearing up. Just humming the abstracted notes, I was crying just humming notes. And the notes were more expressive than the words.
Who is the song directed to?
In a way it’s funny. The songs just sound like they’re talking about a girl. It can also be talking about my relationship with society or my relationship with the fans or anyone who I let down. Or people that had to defend me or really love me or everything. I like leaving songs ambiguous a little bit, where it could be about other people or it could be about yourself. It can be a man’s anthem, but its a woman’s anthem also..let’s have a toast to the douche bags.
